Jan. Sept. Am Wochenende sorgte die erste Rote Karte nach Videobeweis im Spiel des SC Freiburg gegen Borussia Dortmund () für Diskussionen.
Geisler also responded with reproach, but he also reportedly shoved a stool and flung it on Matos. Additionally, the band performing that night had tried to settle a truce between the two.
Geisler appears to have yielded by offering a handshake, but before he could even reach his hand, Matos grabbed him by the arm and punched him several times.
On a May 29 interview, Matos said that it was Geisler who has started the fight by insisting on jamming with the band which turned out to be a fund-raising concert for a political detainee.
He said that Geisler got irked and hurled insults at him and his company just for asking to step down from the stage. Geisler commended Matos for their fight despite having had their scores tied admitting he deserved victory.
In late November , it was reported that Geisler had been involved in an altercation with fellow actor Ping Medina. Medina released a lengthy Facebook post with a photo of himself, sitting on a wheelchair and his middle finger aloft using his broken hand wrapped in bandages as a gesture of contempt against Geisler in the wake of the incident.
According to his post, Geisler urinated on him during a shoot of an independent film in Subic. He issued an apology about the incident later on, admitting that he had been drinking and was heavily medicated with anti-depressants while filming.
Geisler was temporarily detained for physical assault to his neighbor named Raymundo dela Rosa on November 9, He was released less than 24 hours after a mutual settlement from both parties as the file was withdrawn by dela Rosa.
Geisler claimed that the incident was just for self-defense purposes. It was also later found out that Geisler was intoxicated that time. Geisler later stated in an interview that he is currently struggling from an extreme bipolar disorder and is recently under a strict medication for the said illness.
On September 15, , Geisler was involved in a car accident but left unhurt. Geisler was presumably under the influence of alcohol according to early reports.
No one was hurt but according to Geisler, his companion during the clash suffered minor injuries. Geisler was arrested in October for alleged violent behavior in a resto-bar located along Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City after allegedly shouting and going amok at customers and staff members.
Geisler insisted he did not cause trouble at the bar and accused the police of not following due process in arresting him.
Prior to the incident, Geisler also had a standing arrest warrant issued in Cebu for smoking inside a plane which violates the Civil Aviation Authority Act.
On March 3, , Geisler posted a photo of his bruised face on his Instagram account, accusing a family member of beating him up due to financial matters.
Morales added that he was provoked by Geisler which resulted in a scuffle. Morales also posted a photo of their house being vandalized by Geisler.
On March 5, , Geisler was arrested after he allegedly "threatened to kill" Morales. It was later revealed that Geisler decided to enter alcohol addiction rehab for the second time.

Wet Behind the Ears—and not Wild Either". Very insightful to ban him for the re-match in DFB Pokal to prevent out bad emotions.
Usually, in Germany you only get banned for the competition where you commited misconduct. I heard lots of good things about him from Bayern fans last season but yesterday, he got totally outshone by Dahoud.
Only 2 or 3 starts, I think. Too little to judge him on. No offense intended, but I think loaning him to Schalke was a terrible idea.
He fit so well at Augsburg. I have always been of the opinion that he will play a larger role after the winter break.
We will see, I suppose. At the very least, he might be better off at a club like Schalke for 2 or 3 years. I think Bayern management have developed a habit of overrating their recent youngsters.
Pep was in love with him in his first season. There are countless pages in the Perarnau book where he talks about it, calling him the new Xavi and that stuff.
He sent him to the reserves. Not good but not bad. He had some good sub appearances where he was getting in good spots and doing a lot of work.
But other times he just tries to do too much by himself. I think him arguing with the ref and palying innocent directly after the foul plays a huge role in this decision.
You are assuming that he immediately knew what he had done. From his point of view in that situation he had just made a little mistake and hit the other guy as a consequence.
He said himself that it looked horrible once he saw it on TV, but in that situation he may have felt like it was more of a yellow-offense.
Only the injured player, the ref, maybe the one other player and those with a screen can know during and right after the tackle the extent of the damage.
All he sees once he gets up is a guy on the ground in pain, and we have seen injuries that result in yellow cards. How on earth can he know? Watch the replay again.
He has never seen a red card in his career and is by all accounts a very fair player. He immediately throws his arms in the air with the palms facing the sky - an apologizing gesture.
The only thing he tries to do is avoid afterwards is the red card. Yes, it was reckless and yes it was well deserved, but hating on him, for not wanting to be sent off, is ridiculous.
He still argued about the red and all you can say to his defense is him throwing his arms in the air. He also said in his public apology that he had no idea how bad the foul was until he saw the video.
This is a game of perspective, a game that can move very fast. I never said that. Where do I misrepresent facts?
And why do you think your interpretation is a fact?
Look when he changes his gesture. As soon as the ref goes for the back pocket, you can see a change in his gesture.
We all know that he did a horrible mistake and that he is truly sorry, so why beat on him even further. Still, the shitstorm was insane. I personally think that 5 games and 15K is too light.
He gets to go on vacation for two weeks. His studs were 18" off the ground, it was a ridiculous challenge. If Geis put more pressure on the foot..
It is pretty obvious that it was not meant to injure him. There was enough pressure on the foot to break it. Hahn was just lucky it did not end this way.
Look at the replay one more time. At the time he should have taken pressure away from his stomp he actually increases it.
This is one nasty challenge. The player was surrounded by his own teammates, it was obvious it was fucking bad. Due to the sheer recklessness of the tackle, 5 matches is fair.
And also, of course he tried to avoid the red. Why should this play a role, the punishment should be about the foul and not whether he behaved innocently or not.
Anyway you look at it, it looks deliberate. His lunge is no where near the trajectory of the ball. He charged in with a knee height tackle and even kicked out harder just before contact.
He also seems to be looking towards the knee, I think he knew what he was doing. That was a deliberate challenge with no chance to get the ball.
Should have been at least 8. What is he trying to gain from complaining about it? The decision has been made. Look at the foul. If you really think he wanted to injure him he would have definitley ended his career right there.
There is no way he put full pressure against him. Anyone know how long Hahn will be out? Most likely back after winter break.
Needs his Meniscus fixed and shin bone healed and he should be fine I think. The tibial plateau is fractured. What that means is the shin bone is broken but in a way that affect knee stability and motion.
This could be a 4 month injury or it could be a year. These types of breaks combined with ligament tears MCL tear can take forever to heal enough to play at full clip.
People with this kind of injury are known to need artificial knees later in life but it might be good enough to finish his career.
